jus came across a brand of skimmer and the boss told me it was comparable to hns

of course...i can't jus take his word for it without asking gurus in src rite?

so here i am...seeking advice on:

how schuran skimmer compares with hns or beckett?

One of the very good ones around - take a closer look on the skimmer's construction and principle will tell you...

Electricity consumption for H&S lower than Schuran? For the model you are looking at it draws 38watts (H&S) for Schuran if you are looking at Jetskim 120, you need to get Eheim 1260 and that draws i think 80watts? If consumption is your concern.

If your tank is big got for H&S.... if smaller you may want to try out schuran(IMO a very good skimmer)
