roidan
as long as you are willing to bear the postage cost to perth on top of what local reefers are paying for the tubby, i see no reason why cookiemunster will refuse to sell you a unit to ease your troubles link up with him, send him a PM 1 Quote Advanced Aquarist (March05)

roidan
there are a few methods but may not be reliable. u can do a search in our forum database. or u can hand over the keys to a reliable person and get him/her to top up water for you Quote Advanced Aquarist (March05)

SRC Member ervine Posted January 7, 2005 SRC Member Share Posted January 7, 2005 No point trying to DIY the tubby.. I DIYed one... got electric shocked twice doing it.. not to mention the final costs amount to almost the same...
SRC Member ciaolong Posted January 7, 2005 Author SRC Member Share Posted January 7, 2005 soo any other ideas ? the gravity could work but yeah alot of problems with it i am thinking something with a float switch or something
SRC Member ervine Posted January 7, 2005 SRC Member Share Posted January 7, 2005 I tried the gravity siphon method before too... but I feel it's even more risky that the tubby in terms of the risk involved during it's course of operation... You can try the gravity method with a float switch (non-electric) I've seen one been sold before... seems like the cheapest and probably most straight forward way to do it... BUT.. u need to have ur reservoir of water above ur tank (or sump)
