close shop for the night already :P

All the photos are raw, no editing, just crop and resize (reduce resolution)

Oh yes reduce by exposure by up to 1 stop (for nikon camera) so the brighter parts of the image won't be saturated.

Wah next cam i get must be DSLR liao.. so much diff

sorry hor. not a macro post but to show how good WL's photography is, we need some lousy photos from me ;)

i usually have super bad luck (or maybe crap water parameters) with light coloured fiji SPS. however am pretty surprised that this one is surviving! haha

posting this pic in order to beg WL to take macro shots of it before RIP!

yup. similar specimen. however when i picked it up from ##, it wasn't looking that impressive like the one u got!

my immediate priority is to keep it alive. colours can go and return later.

notice the over exposure on the later else the peach is still pretty ok. wish me luck

it's my first such table and i wanted closed-up shots on the polyps but my camera sux

This may be off topick, but just wondering can the D70 use the old Nikkor lens? I have a old Nikon F801 with the AF 28-70 and 70-210 zoom lenses. Thinking of just changing the body to digital and use back the lens. Is this possible?

Anyone knows where to trade in the old camera?

Depending on how old is your nikon lens. Certain function might not be supported with your old lens. Worst case there'll be no AF and you have to do your own metering.

Here's from the D70 specs.

1.) DX Nikkor: All functions supported

2.) Type G or D-AF Nikkor: All functions supported

3.) Micro AF 85mm F2.8D: All functions supported except autofocus and some

exposure modes

Other AF Nikkor(Excluding Lenses for F3AF). All functions supported except 3D

Color matrix metering, i-TTL balanced Fill-Flash for Digital SLR

4.) AI-P Nikkor: All functions except 3D Color Matrix Metering, 3D Multi-Sensor

Balanced Fill-Flash and AF possible

5.) Non-CPU AI Nikkor : Usable in [M] mode but exposure meter does not

function; electronic range finder can be used if maximum aperture is f/5.6 or

faster.

you can try peninsula shops for camera trade-in..

but hold your horses.....nikon may be announcing new cameras in spring :)

similarly for canon, they offered 300d long time back and then nikon bettered it with D70....

and a canon replacement will be due to better the D70 very soon.....

the canon 20d displaced D100 in the midrange, and nikon will be due to better it with a replacement for their D100...

so wait around spring for the new releases....some international photographic expos around then and that's when they launch new models or announce new models :)

:off: , but I also want to know :yeah:

I have a F801 with 28-85 and 28-200. If can use back the lens, more reason to get the D70!

Bro,

If you find out from Nikon service center can you let me know? Coz I'm out station at the moment. :)

Thanks,

Patrick

Just checked with the Nikon Service Tech.

For AF lenses, no problem. Can be used with the D70.

For the speedlight, problem! :cry2: The older models can only be used as a manual flash with the D70. That is to say, all metering, control and fundtions are either disabled or have to be done manually.
