SRC Member neokn Posted January 7, 2005 SRC Member Share Posted January 7, 2005 I can gurantee your sohal tang will whack the hell out of the Alantic Blue tang when it's added to your tank later unless you really have place for all the tang to swim. Rule of thumb for tang is 1:1, means 1 tang for 1' swimming space.

SRC Member kareen Posted January 8, 2005 SRC Member Share Posted January 8, 2005 I think u have almost a full tank already..... still thinking of adding some more..... What is your tank size and the filteration system like? Sohal tang is gorgoeus with its slim line body darting in and out of the rocks. I love him...... It has to be the last fish to be added. Also, I notice that your sohal tang is pretty small in size if you really like it, keep it and no more tangs for you. Another thing is that make sure your filteration is powerful enough to cleanse the waste they put put. If not, sell it away. I'm sure there are many reefers who wants to buy it from you..... Dispar_Anthias
From your pic.. that tank don't really look big... Your existing tangs are already way too much and you plan on adding?? You should not cage sohal... Its a lapping fish in the wild thus need alot of space.. IMO cagging tangs abit cruel and also i notice that tangs being cage up wun last long... SRC Member patrick123 Posted January 8, 2005 SRC Member Share Posted January 8, 2005 Sohal tang is a beutiful fish. But it is not to be kept with a lot of other tang in a small tank due to its agression to the same species. In the best case scenario you may end up having all the tang living together but all scratched up by one another. In the worst case...... SRC Member FelixSu Posted January 8, 2005 SRC Member Share Posted January 8, 2005 http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_Di....cfm?pCatId=383 i say sell it.
SRC Member Guinness Posted January 8, 2005 SRC Member Share Posted January 8, 2005 donate to my tank! But seriously that is way too many tangs for one tank. Notice even those extreme aquarists overseas with their giant 8-20ft tanks don't stock so many in their tanks.
