just got my anemone...

hmm the moment i turned my lights off(total darknesS).. the anemone seems to go into a bloated mode with its top all covered up..

is tt normal when i turn all the lights off?

how do ur anemones act at night?

Depends on what type of anemone.Mine is saddle carpet and it normally closes itself after lights off.

Anemone host zoozanthae in them and zoozanthae needs lights to produce food and at the same time sustain the anemone as well. Thus they have a symbiotic relationship.

So when there is not lights most anemone will closed shop loh cuz no need to keep open to satisfy the zoozanthae.
