Find a hotel near a train station....that's the best and cheapest way to get around. Can't help you with hotel prices, tho, as I used my RCI exchange so didn't have to pay anything......Hear they are horrendous, tho....

i been to jap 4 times.. hmm u stay at prince hotel at shinagawa.. very nice.. near train somemore... i nv see fishshop there if not i sure.. buy alot haha

i agree with marinebetta...

i stayed in one of the hotels near the shinagawa train station in tokyo/japan...

it's one of the main interchanges of the J-rail, shinkansen and so going to other parts of tokyo is very convenient..

but i am sure there are better places also. but this is just my personal experience during my recent trip

Narita Airport terminal 2 to this station is 1450 yen

and you can also ride the shinkansen in the station to other parts of japan...

heng managed to go Hard Rock Cafe Osaka before tokyo...as for Hard Rock Cafe Osaka, it's beside Universal Studios, Osaka

If u r gonna stay in Ueno, u can try Parkside Hotel. Quite cheap and easily accessible. it is abt 10mins away from Ueno train station, which is something like the city hall MRT interchange of Singapore.
