i use it with no problem leh.....but you do have to add it slowly in to prevent PH swing from been too drastic.....

The old adage of reef lore: underdose is better than overdose...:)

Early in my setup, I kept getting 7.7 on my PH test kit (one of those that makes you feel like a wild-haired alchemist). Obviously, my fish and corals should have been dying in droves, but there they were, alive and well. I carried on using the kit for another month, all the while adding a commercial buffer, but the results never seemed to change...7.7 was the immutable number. I slept and dreamt it, in fact.

Then, in a fit of inspiration, I bought a PH test pen, and discovered, to my horror, that my water's PH was a blistering 8.2.

From then on, I never bought cheap test kits again....perils are too many...

I have used 6 part of baking soda with 1 part of washing soda mixed as buffer before. They work but make sure u have test kit to measure the parameter.

:) Greeting :)
