wat current size does moon coral need

got a moon coral

but somehow it has some mouth dying off liao......

dunno whether if it is due to my INDIRECT sieo 820 blowing anot..........

should i shift to some where there are little water movement anot......... :rolleyes:

Actually moon (Favia & Favites) "are quite tolerant to water motion, though extremely strong current may prevent full polyp expansion" Eric Borneman.

Thus I don't think an indirect from your 820 is the cause.

You may want to check out other factors

If it is RTN then will spread loh. On the safe side I will try to dip it in Lugol Solution. I have tried that for my favites when I got it and I suspect it is RTN.

Try to move it to a low flow area with some shade and observed if there is any improvement.

Favites dont need high flow - they come from low to mid flow. And they dont really like alot of lights ...from my observations. I might be wrong.
