Marine Betta (comet)

Recommended Posts

Hi frens,

Anyone out there kept a comet before.

Can share experience with regards to keeping it with

smaller fishes like fire dartfish etc. :D

for example, if I get a 2-3inch comet, will it eat a 1inch fish?

Thanks

Zephyros

Marine betta is a rather docile fish and is seldom seen once you put them in your tank....... This fish is known to eat small fish and have a typical way of catching them............... IMO it si better to get fish that are bigger than them or ard the same size even though their mouth is rather small

I have one argus comet.

:D

Comets make very good pets. Although they are very very very shy at first, they will showcase thier beauty once they think the atmosphere is ok. I have a one inch blue tang, three one inch clownfish in an anemone, One saddleback clown and two remoras.

The tangs even "play" around with the betta. :yeah:

I recently found out that bettas have enormous mouths.

What they need is plenty of chances for it to get the food and a hiding place.

i hv it as well. i find it a problem feeding it if it's placed together with agressive eaters as it tends to be v slow.

mine feeds during the day. it's not that it doesn't eat, it juz can't keep up with the rest n take it's time to eat.
