Found while giving my LR in a FW Bath

I brought a bunch of live rocks from a fellow reefer here a few weeks back. My tank is not here so I have been keeping the rocks in a large toyogo container.

Today have a bit free time an decided to give them a fresh water bath to try to get rid of some blister worms that I have been seeing around. I could not get any instead I found these two guys.

One I identified as a pistol shrimp. Is the crab harmful? Thought of saving it if possible.

Did not get any worms though.

i dump all my hitchhiking critters in my fuge to let them fight it out amongst themselves

I will dump the crab as well. As for the shrimp, I will keep it.

Ya pistol shrimps are usually scavengers that don't cause harm. Anyway they are cute

Pistol Shrimps are fun to have. They make clicking sounds at night.

As for the crab, you may keep it in your sump/refugium but don't put it back into your tank as it can topple your corals or rocks.

Fresh water bath? I disagree with this practice as it would often kill off most of the beneficial organisms as well.
