I introduced the little fella 2.5 days back.

Initially it was happily riding the currents for roughly 7 hours. At night fall, it was last seen swimming behind the rocks at a corner of the tank.

Ever since then no sign of it.

Searched the floor around. No sign.

Not in the overflow compartment too.

My other, one and only, inhabitant in the tank is a banded goby, also tiny fella. It came with the tank (2nd hand from typrobin). Half expected the fella not to make it, but it did! But always hiding, only comes out at night for food..

Could the firefish have gotten lost? Or stucked?

The hardy goby..

Tried the method of garlic soaked food..

Then i turned off the return pump and the powerhead in tank.

The firefish came out of hiding!!! Hooray!! At least it's still alive! :D

But it did not touch the food at all..

After watching it swim a while, i turned on the return, and the fella got shocked, went hiding again..

Then i off return again, he appeared again..

Now return and powerhead on back, he wouldn't come out..

Hide and seek!!
