Any livestocks which eats Algae efficiently?

Hi guys. Needed some advice in introducing some livestocks which eat algae...

Doesn't really have a big algae bloom, but couple of patches here and there on my life rocks.

Apart from turbo snails, any other recommendations?

I recommend a seahare... one is doing a great job in my tank eating away algae.

Henry from Marinelife is the one who recommended it to me and it WORKS!!!!

hee...I find the sea hare abit gross myself...too big for my standard

Other algae eaters include:

Starfishes, Sea Urchins, Hermit Crabs, Algae Blenny...

Is sea hare easy to keep? any wierd habits? haha.

Would try the hermit crab too, is it the blue legged one?

Might get one urchin too, thanks dude. Btw, urchin eat purely algae, neeed to give it pieces of prawn meat?

Yes, quite a number of hermit crabs are algae eater, eg. blue leg, zebra leg, scarlet but be careful because some are not so reef-safe, may disturb tubeworms.

Most urchins are noctural algae feeder I believe

Dun forget abt abalone Fast and gentle cleaner. But you'll seldom see it in the day

Most tangs also feed on algae but alos produce a tremendous amt of waste

I stay away from sea hare becos:

"If it becomes startled, it may release a purple dye to repel attacking fish. In the home aquarium, the Sea Hare will need a good chemical filter system to quickly remove this toxic dye before it causes problems.

This fish secretes or releases toxins that may kill fish in the aquarium. The species may release toxic compounds when stressed, or release toxic compounds when it dies."

K, would try the urchin and abalone if I could ever find one. Yummy, errr...I mean..wow.

Kind of afraid that the hermit eat up my cute tiny 1 cm tube worm....

Any type of starfish to recommend? would it gobble up my cleaner shrimp?

Find brittle starfish a bit...hairy....eee..

any pic of the sea hare , the look how different from the sea cucumber ?

and how much for the hare ?

will adult emperor angel or other fish bother them ?

My lawnmower eats more fish food than algae... I cannot remember the last time I saw it snap at a rock... sigh...
