sslow
Hi all, Started a tank about 3 weeks ago. This is a full view of the tank and stand. Some Specifications: Size: 28cm x 28cm x 40cm AGA Capacity: about 25L Filter: LR, abt 4" DSB, external canister Light: 27W 10K PC Additional powerhead for circulation. Not sure where to go from here. I know I don't have sufficient light for most corals and I don't run a protient skimmer. I will try to be discipline not to overstock (2 fishes and 2 shrimps max) and to get only corals that don't require much light (mushrooms and zoanthids). Please feel free to comment. Still learning. sslow
Closer view of the LR. Don't really like them but was not really to spend $16/kg at some LFS for nicer ones. It is not much but I am going to get some corals and hopefully the tank will fill up some. I spent sometime curing the LR outside the tank and they seem to be rid of worms, mantis shrimp and other nasty stuff I read about. When I get corals in the future, do I need to quarantine them too? Won't the rocks that the corals are attached have the possibilty of habouring some unwanted creatures?

DeepBlue
without a proper filter system.... think you will have to change water very frequently and have a lot of LR in that small tank.
