bro...

ive comtemplated this before when my wife refuse to let me drill 2 holes on the ceiling to hang my MH.

the reason why i gave up the idea was - theres nothing worse than coming home 1 day to find your MH light swimming in ur tank.

ur design was wat i had in mind, except mine had another 2 support on the other 2 sides. but after careful consideration, if the MH is going to fall, then dats it. mine is a 4x2 tank, sure goner!

btw....you got the MH holder from bro iwenehz?

sama sama as mine!

it's stable enough.. well for me at least, been with me for almost a year already no issues whatsoever... the MH housing inside no ballast so it's pretty light...

Seriously, I don't see how the MH will fall... I took it down to do some cleaning/changing of bulb recently and it took me a good 10-20mins to get the MH off from the PVC rack...

btw, I'm using some steel wires to tie the casing the the PVC pipes... as for the rack itself it will sway when pushed but it won't fall apart, not after I used PVC solvent on the joints...

but as with all my DIY stuff... DON'T TAKE MY WORD FOR IT!!.. Do it at ur own risk bros...

diablous: MH holder from bro iwenehz? erm.. donno what u talking abt bro... got mine from viclite...
