Need help on skimmer

Hi all. bought a second hand macro skimmer . dunno wat model. its seems to be leaking at the bottom of the collection cup, near to the throat. wat to do?

Secondly, how to distinguish between a needlewheel skimmer and a venturi one?

still a newbie. cheers.

for macro skimmers, theres a hole at the bottom of the collection cup where u can attach a air tube to divert the skimate to a bigger container.

the difference between a venturi and a needlewheel should be ...

the air intake tube,

needlewheel - the air intake tube is connected to the pump.

venturi - should be elsewhere,like the weipro(have not seen a macro venturi at work, so just guesing)

Oh ok . thx for the fast reply. the leak seems to come out from the o-ring part. did secure the o-ring tightly. Its leaking at the part where there is a black outer plastic rim below the collection cup.
