Hawk fish & Trigger

Recommended Posts

It depends on what kind of trigger...... If niger or blue chin trigger i would assume not much problem would occur... But if you say clown trigger or undulate trigger den most liekly the trigger will attack the hawk.... However if you hawk is big and the trigger is small(tiny clown trigger are cute) usually not much prob may occur

I keep a longnosed hawkfish with an undulate trigger, a niger trigger and a picasso trigger, all in the same tank with no problems at all. They're all abt the same size except for the picasso which is slightly bigger than the rest. it's been half a year already...

But i must say that the hawkfish was the first to be added to the tank, before all the triggers. I think to minimise the risk of a disaster from happening in your tank, its best to introduce your hawkfish first, before the trigger, esp if u're planning on a fierce trigger like the undulate. :heh:

ya, size is a protective factor here. But i do notice that the hawkfish is generally ignored by the triggers though, as though it's just another piece of rock. Well, adding the hawkfish at this point would be taking a risk, though there's a chance that you might just get away with it.. Good luck! :)
