Plate Coral

I have a plate coral too and it seems to be behaving very oddly recently.

Sometimes it will open normally as you would see in the LFS, but sometimes it will become a odd state, the base swell up very big, and the tentacles become slender and slim and stiff, something like the picture.( Sorry pic quality poor).

Any comments?

IMo your plate look alright...... they are known to swell up so it should be ok...well any gurus would like to clarify

Looks normal. They inflate when lighting is on. Can also more too and float like a space saucer.

that's normal...don't worry...jewels are also commonly showing such inflations too..
