My tank

yup, I have bio balls and rings.

In fact, the skimmer is doing farely well. It gives 1/2 cup of kopi-o every month or so. and I dun have many animals in there.

4 small fish, 2 prawns and 2 snails. plus 1 small crab which I being trying to kill with no sucess.

It seems like things are getting bad ever since the giant died 4 months back.

Could it be my sand bed ? It has green and brown stuff in it. and one of my friend thinks it could be due to 'old tank syndrome' and suggest that I clean out everything

every month 1/2 cup of kopi-o might be too little for the tank of your size.

How many livestock do you have now?

I have 4 small fish, 2 prawns, 2-3 snails.

Not much life stock. The latest suggestion by one of the bro here will be to clean out my sump and filter box. I think I will try that follow by a 1/3 water change and see if it can stabilise.
