wat is the condition for general SPS .. ??

Hi SPS reefers .. i'm wondering wat is the codition to keep SPS .. Coz i'm considering ... to keep or not to keep ...

I'm currently having a LPS and softies tank..

Bro, u got ur diy equipment up and running liao?

Three equipements that I feel is definitely needed;

1) Strong skimmer unless u decide to not to keep fishes.

2) Good and powerful lights that can penetrate the water column.

3) A FR to remove PO4

The rest are pretty standard, keep ur N03 to minium if not zero.

We can also discuss more.

my DIY tupperware skimmer is already in action... it skimmed out a cup full of soya sauce in just 1 week.. until today .. i'm still looking at the skimate in disbelieve.. my T5 light are not ready yet ... still in process .. together with it a hood ... i think i'll only consider starting SPS after all my equipment are ready .. .

betta get a chiller... u will see great differences if u intend to keep sps

if you can keep your water temp between 26 to under 28 degrees....with the MH or T5 on...guess it shouldnt be too hard once water parameter is right

Good for u bro, u hv the positive thinking. get all ur equipment right b4 starting. oredi 1 step towards success. will share wif u my pathetic 2 cents beginner/novice sps experience when i m back.

Do take note of the fishes u are having., not all are SPS friendly.

I don't have any fish in my sps tank. and I never feeding the corals.

But I add DSB.
