anthias keeping

hi all, i am about to atempt to keep anthias in my 3 footer.but before that i need your guys help....

1) what is the easiest for a anthias newbie to keep.what is the price.

2) i was thinking of buying a pair.. good idea?

3) lastly what to feed them.

IMO... anthias is definately not a good starter fish to keep even for the hardy ones.... Anyway hardy ones are squaminpinnis aka lyretil anthias, rubizonatus aka tri - colour anthias or truncatus truncate fairy anthias..... All of these anthias cost ard $10.... Anthias are schooling fishes and they should never be kept a pair... if you tank is small one will do(anthias do very well even when solitary) but if your tank is bigger a group of one male and many female can be kept together......

BTW anthias need regular feeding(3-5 times a day preferbly) so if you can provide that for them, suggest you dun try them out...... ;);)

ok D A,

fyi,i kept one before when i started marine few years back.that fella was with me for about year before he return to the lord :angel: .that time no online help like this one,only rely on books at library.i think i better skip the idea if its that complicated.thanks.
