Making a Choice:

Dear fellow reefers, please pardon me for bringing up this topic again.I am really in a dilemma to make a decision on whether to get a weipro skimmer or a macro needle-wheel.Fristly,my budget is $100 or a little off $100 or jus below 100.A weipro and a pump may cost as much as a macro, but which skims better?Wat i want is a skimmer that hangs like a hang-on filter.BTW,i do not hve a sump so i do not have a place for skimmers that are too big. Please give honest opinions! ;):thanks:

bro...

how big is ur tank?

as far as skimmer is concern....get the best one ur wallet/space allows you to...

i have used the weipro 2013 and am now using the Macro AS250 needlewheel...the Macro is a few notches better than the weipro IMO.

no3 is a major headache in keeping tank.

There are Baterials can reduce no3, but these baterial only can be effective in places where there are little oxygen, in which it reduce the no3 into oxygen and nitrogen, which is how DSB and plenum system works. Skimming do not remove NO3, it can prevent it from building up though.

The world is such a wicked place, war btween the human race. People work to earn their bread, while across the sea they're counting dead
