Saltmix toxicity

How many of you experiences some kind of die off after massive water change ?

Probably not minor water change that i am talking about - about 30% or more water changes.

My encounter - crabs & shrimps are always the first to go.

It is true that certain die offs will coccur at the micro-organism level but my LS(fishes and invertebrates) haven't had any problem with most salt mixes sold here even with 50% water change.Generally, I think the problem lies in how the saltmix is prepared and introduced to the tank that ultimately matters.Otherwise you got to use natural seawater which is even more difficult to condition for usage.

I realise it also kills flat worms.
