is there a air-intake tube? if yes, take it out from the water. Is ur pump roughly 10mm below water level? if no, do it. The above apply to my as100p. dunnoe abt urs.

10mm?

i just dump the pump in the sump and no problems at all ;)

but only that water level kinda high to me <_<

I placed my pump in the sump and getting mud every day.

May be your pump / skimmer need to clean.

Clean with warm water will get best result.

IMHO, i thk some problem with your pump. My experience was not exactly your case. But it produce extra large bubbles and just couldn't skim....

The problem was solved after I changed my pump.
