Hi folks,

I would like to share my new toy which I got from I~Aqua.

Dual beckett skimmer with 8" chamber 32" height and in the process to lengthen it to 44" :o

This new toy is too replace my Single beckett 8" diameter 30" height.

Reason: I am using MX70 to drive my skimmer single beckett which create too much turbulance and very unstable. Tried using MD55 before that, stable but was not satisfied with the bubble. The only solution, change to higher height and dual beckett. :D

Picture shows between old skimmer and new skimmer.

New skimmer design without Box, to save space.

Able to control water level in the chamber to revent overflow of sump.

Gate valve put at high position to prevent overflow of sump.

This is good for us if you skimmer is very high and you have small sump.

I~Aqua use thumb screw which is much easier for tightening and loosing. They last longer compare to plastic bolt and nuts.

Smooth edges. I just love their workmanship. Best in town, JB and Batam ?

Nice

The other side view.

The T joint has to be lowered as my pump too strong.

When I extend the chamber next time, I have to position the T joint higher.

When the skimmer pump is off, water level in the skimmer chamber will be maintained at he T join level.

Conclusion: A Very Satisfied Customer. :):):)

Best Beckett skimmer built in town. :o:o:o

Clearer water as proven by my Pinpoint ORP monitor.

I am not using any ozoniser but my old beckett can keep ORP value at 340.

After 2 days with new skimmer ORP value goes up to 365.

I guess I can drop my plan of getting ozoniser. I belive 365 is good enough for SPS. Hope this value will increas after a few more days.

Cheers to Ian.

Just ordered another 8x48 dual beckett for a friend for his 2 meter tank.

Anyway :thanks: for producing such a satisfied product.

Awesome skimmer. I saw that in Ian's workshop myself. Great upgrade for you there. ;)

You are right.

When I purchased the waste collector from Ian a few months back, i was impressed with the workmanship. So I assigned Ian for the new roject.

whao...my flame hawk must be enjoying himself in your tank!!! B)

so sad that my beckett got bumped aside <_< ...but u've definitely made a good choice..

Ian has once again proven that he can do anything with acrylic..

not too sure bout performance, cos the one that u have now is a dual beckett.mine was only a single beckett..but Ian's workmanship is already another level beyond me and thus i concede defeat  (for a while only):evil::evil:

IAN: when can i get my acrylic mercedes??:lol::lol: just joking...

Slick work!

seems like Ian designed it in a different manner...

Its the raised gate valve and the very pro looking air control switch. Most becks use the air hose and tap. His looks more finished.

Now, if he only could "quick release" the skimmer neck and waste container, then no more troublesome working of the thumbscrews.

Idea for you, Ian. :heh:
