just bought the new batch resun from reborn, noise level quite low to me, the reading on the box said to drive the chiller with pump > 1800l/h and capable of chilling tank up to 650l at 22 degreec or 1000l at 25 degree c.

so i use dymax 2000l/h pump should be ok right ? my tank is 400l.

the factory setting is 25 degree c, but i see the chiller kick in quite often w/o the mh on what happen ?

the inlet and outlet both goes to the sump.

:(

did u short circuit ur input n output?

u shld not draw water from the same compartment where u output ur water to... n ur input (sump compartment ) shld not come after the output as well

Arh, the common problem faced by many here.

There is 2 conclusion i drew:

(1) "short circuit" of the piping... the inlet (warm) and outlet (chilled) pipes are too

closed.

=====> If possible return yr chilled water to the main tank directly. Or at least place the in/out lets as far in the sump as possible

(2) The recommended flow rate varies greatly for many due to piping length and

ht.

======>Get a powerful pump with a valve and tune till you get the best setting you can achieve

my $0.02 :peace:

lfs guy say get pump with flowrate >1800 so i got the 2000l/h dymax pump for only $20 dont know reliable or not.

reefers from src recommend 1250 ehiem or sicce extrema, what is the flow rate and retail price ?

now i using my main return pump ehiem 1060 38l/min to pump through the 650 then return straight to tank. still monitoring. seems like take longer time to cool but better then cut in cut out.
