Chiller Necessary

I am new to marine fish. Pse advise it is necessary to have a chiller for the tank??

depends on the size of ur tank. normally there is no need for a chiller if ur tank is 2or 3 feet. maybe get a fan is good enuff.. but need to consider the evaporation problem(seawater).

I think you need to check your temp of the water after all you equip is up like pumps, lightings and what every equip that give off heat which make the temp of the water to increase

If you just intend to keep marine fish, they can do without a chiller.

At the most, due to increased metabolic rate (eat more and shit more)... you can put all your money into a good skimmer like schuran or euroreef/H&S.

Once you put corals into your tank, then it's a different story.

Instead of a chiller, you can use a fan instead to cool down your tank. But only to a certain temp only, for certain type of corals... But if fish only, don't needlah brother... save money... buy bigger tank

need or dont need first depend on your current temp. if ur temp now is 26 y wld u 1 a chiller for? a fan can bring down the temp 2-3 'C

Chiller is not a need unless you intend to have a reef tank and using very strong lighting such as metal halide which produce tons of heat........ A FOWLR tank will do fine with hjust FL light and without chiller.....

BTW alternative source to cool your water such as AC or DC fan can be used........ But using them means regular top up of water due to high evaporation rate
