Apitasia vs Hot water

i tried KH solution, doesnt work...... b4 i run out for some kalk, anyone tried using hotwater on a api b4?

well thats waht i used before i remove the live rock from my tank

and then just pour some hot water on the spot where the evil stuff

grow fast and good and no mess hahah but a bit stink

pour one time can kill so many ahhah

to me is cheap and safe method hahah

Tried it before, it worked for me, it killed the apitasia as well as all the living things on the rock, i would say the kalk method is better, kills it instantly.

If you use hot water to kill the Apitasia definitely some things on the rock also die with it.Then you put in main tank, ammonia spike may cause your other LS to also die also.

just an update, i injected the bugger with kalk, and then epoxied the hole. DEATH to api!

2 other removable rocks were nuked with hot water....

just wondering why no one tried the slug method.... I remember that I read somewhere some type of sea slug will eat them and sea slugs are one of the most colurful and beautiful animals..... if they can survives in your tank.

I tried to inject hot water via a sringe and the next day the apitasia grow even bigger. Somehow the little bit of hot water is not enough to burn it in chilling water.

Can use the kalk water in a sringe too? Only the kalkwater or including the kalk as well?

get peppermint shrimp to solve the problem
