Hi i have a question hope u can help

About fluidise Reactors,

Can i replace them with a cannister?

What do u normally put in FRs?

Can i put carbon , denitrator , etc (those from seachem) together into the cannister and let it run?

Anyone done this before and any advise to give? (precaution etc)

But be warned that sandwitching all these media into a canister could cause them to clump into a big rock after some time.

But canister filter got different trays for each media. How they clump together and become big rock??? Me using canister and put GAC, Rowaphos and Seachem matrix at different trays and never see them clump.

Media like rowa tend to clump together of placed in a stationary position under moderate flow.

That's why people use FRs not only to maximise the area of contact(collision theory) and also to prevent the media from clumping

Oh you flatter me :paiseh:

Still learning as I carry on with this hobby and I'm glad to share past experiences with other reefers
