keetkeet Posted August 28, 2003 Share Posted August 28, 2003 my tank has a height of 18in, so no need for any MH..... The retrofit is not too bad, it is sitting less than 2in above my water surface, and using a fan, i manage to keep the temperature below 30 degree celcius. Only set back is the reflectors are very focused, therefore since i put them so near the surface, i get quite a bit of dark spots. Remedy, get the movable reflectors. in short..... it serves my needs, it doesnt drink electricity, and it gives me good illumination. Hi keetkeet, can provide more info on ur tank setup. 1) how many tubes of T5 u r using? 2) what is the size of ur tank? 3) do u need a chiller? 4) how many fan r u uing to bring the temperature down? 5) at 18" depth, wat type of livestock do u have a the bottom of ur tank?
