good question.....as I just did it last night

Steps:

1) take the zoos on rock our (the mother colony)

2) take a sharp penknife and slice the zoos out from the base...

3) make sure the whole piece come off...dun damage the zoos...just the portion that sticks to the rock...(would be good not to hold the zos...get a small tong)

4) then take the piece that you cut off...use the super glue gel (loctite brand quite good) and glue the base onto a rock.

after that...wash the new zoos on rock in a small bowl with the tank water. and you have a new zoo colony on rock ;)

here's a pic

:off: yup....under the Aquaz 20KK and actinic 39W T5 tubes.

Oh..they are not for sale as some has pmed me. But I do have enough to exchange frags if guys here have some gems to trade as well. I have the blue, green and pink zoos now....have sufficient pink ones to trade for some nice ones too ;)

(We can always start a zoos trade thread in the swop sub-forum)

I have some red zoos with green mouths frags

Willing to trade after it has grown more polyps

Well anyway, I saw some farm owners just pull the polyps apart, wonder if that works?

But if you tame me, we shall need each other.

To me, you will be unique in all the world.

To you, I shall be unique in all the world...

You become responsible, forever, for what you have tamed.

DB, i tried fragging some of the zoos the other night. One prob.

i cannot see the base of the polyp properly. And because the rock surface that the zoo attached to is not smooth (obviously), i always slice off the zoo head. Any way to prevent this prob?

Guys guys..... fragging to exchange zoos is fun.. BUT watch out when you are fragging.... When the zoos are been frag they may spray out jet of water contain toxin (neurotoxic!!!)..... If that get into your eyes... Hahah you will suffer for few weeks with eye as bigger than sotong ball..... Oh ya do not frag zoos when you have open wound in your skin.... Best avoid looking at the zoos directly and those that have protective mask pls put it on.....

Paiseh DA blabber too much.. spoil everyone mood but hazard of zoos must be made known......... Okok now back top busness... bro DB you know what todo with your pink, blue :lol::lol:

the pink ones are doing fine..the blue ones..eversince I moved them to new location ..not doing well...in danger if losing them soon.... :cry2: ...hopefully the 2 frags I saved will repropagate again....

regarding fragging of zoos...I try to have minimum hand contact as possible...I used a small small tweezer and totally avoided breaking them....DA is right...handling corals (esp zoos) you got to be careful.

Yeah or maybe organise a day specially for trading of zoos..... then everyone can bring a frag of their gems..... It can be a touch and go(without inspecting what kind like what zoosrus.com is doing) or it can be one to one trade
