Does shifting of sps help to stop STN

shifting may help if the original position was causing stn, like insufficient flow, etc.

distance from tunze? i juz rescape last nite and got 1 tunze which is blowing from one end of tank to the other end, distance of approx 3 feet and one sps at the other end is getting tissue blown off! amazing... seems like some sps can take higher flow as compared to others.

Esp mine is a cube tank~~~ dun know where to place the tunze

maybe some expert can list out waht type of sps should be place at where

or rather do it need very strong flow or waht

maybe we should discuss on the placement of diferent sps in a tank

It all depends....if you have low flow movt area or the current placement has part of the acro block from getting sufficient light.....it may result in bleaching and worse STN...so moving it in this case might help

Andy,

Never blow Tunze direct to SPS, it's not matter how far but all SPS will gone STN and gone. I tried 3' away and gone STN ( 3-4 colonies ).

Now a day, my Tunze bounced to front glass and make nice wave all my SPS like it and coloring up well. You could check in my tank where I put, even though it's old scaping , it did serve me well.

Life is like a peice of Uncured Live Rock [ from LFS ], you never know what you gonna get.........
