sand shifting stars feed on detritus, uneaten food, etc. surely there must be some of those in ur sandbed. ;)

:D Ha, ha, if that's the case then ok. Got 2 of them. 1 seems lazy - don't like to move much, just dig into the sand and stay where it is, the other one already went around the whole tank (sand n wall) for about 4 times as far as those time I'm around to watch it, and it move really fast.

Here's Mr. Turbo-charged,

  • 2 weeks later...

Look out for nudis that come hitchhiking with the zoos

once it breeds out of control, you have to spend weeks nuking them

But if you tame me, we shall need each other.

to my knowledge, they r some small small white creatures usually found at the base of the coral

if yr coral suddenly shrink or bleach or unhealthy and u see those buggers, jus take out and fresh water dip for 5min

that should get the nudis to detach

Just done the 1st water change today. About 8 Gal out of my 60Gal tank. Not too difficult. But it did bring the N03 from 20ppm to 5-10ppm.

Be careful of those hitchhiking hairy crabs, you'll notice you need some Brands chicken essence later

Here's an update.

Now got

6 fishes

1 cleaner shrimp

1 boxing shrimp (female carrying alot of egg beneath her n always hidding)

1 sand snifter starfish

1 Mushroom

1 Polys

1 leather

1 snail

+ many many interesting and cute tiny things that already living in the rock.

Most of the fishes have learned hand feeding, except the 2 Damsels. Cleaner shrimp is always waiting to be hand fed, whenever it see me around.

IMHO, as compare to my previous plant tank, and also the Cichlids tank which I still keeping, nothing come close to the joy of the Marine. At least so far so good. Also, I think never in my life time before that my hands soak so much of saltwater.

Ha, ha, that's the only fish tank which my whole family won't never fail to pause n take a look whenever they pass by. Really feel that $ well spent.

Cheers!

Cheers!

Bro cheese,

To bring out some nice coloration of your zoos, go for 14K or 20K bulbs or maybe supplement with actinics.

Okie okie. :thanks:
