SRC Member ozy Posted November 16, 2004 SRC Member Share Posted November 16, 2004 Hi, Today, I was doing a simple maintanence of my tank and was noticing my digital thermometer reading 26.8 degrees. However, the water did not feel like 26 degrees. So I took another digital thermometer from another tank and a legacy alcohol thermometer from my fresh water days to test. To my horror, the other thermometer shows 30.2 degrees and the alcohol thermometer shows 28 degrees. Now I am at a loss as how to accurately determine the temperature of my tank. Any recommendations for a good thermometer?
Achilles Tang
I use a lab-grade mercury thermometer which I calibrate all my other thermometers to. I think there is a medical supply shop in Balestier that sells them.
