Ph Level

I 'm doing a new cycling tank of 75 gallon ,I measure the ph level is 8.6-8.7 .

What should I do ?

hmmm me too, ph seems a bit on the high side, salinity also high. around 1.026

tank is new and been cycling for 3 weeks now.

i suppose sg can reduce my adding more H2O? y do u wana keep ur sg so high? mix with more water and reduce nor..

Anyway bro, 1st and foremost, I hope you got accurate testkits, very often, we chase the wrong numbers due to faulty/inaccurate testkits....

You may wanna try testing your tapwater for its pH?

Is the SG high becoz you used too much salt??

Did you dose lots of KH & Calcium buffers?

For PH tester is Tetra

and Kh is Sera

you might wanna use another brand of test kit.

my experience with Sera....

i recommend the 4 test kit in one package sold at petmart....not more than $30...its by aquapharms labs

kh and ph very closely tied...u can't haf kh 5 ph 8.6....sth very very wrong
