How do I begin taking down the tank?

Hi guys,

It's been quite some time since I've been back here, been too damn caught up with work in school... and as a result my tank has suffered greatly...

In addition I forsee myself being unable to continue with a proper upkeeping of the tank both in terms of time as well as money.. as such, it is to my great sorrow that I'm going to take down my marine tank for the time being.

What I need to know now is how to go about doing it?

For the livestock it'll probably be okay, I can give them away to a friend and I can sell the rocks but what should I do with the sand in the end? I can't just leave it

there right? Sell it too?

Equipment wise I'm going to keep almost everything in case I with to start up again in the near future. So please don't ask about this.

Also, I'm considering converting it into a FW tank instead since it's so much less of a hassle.. problem is how do I deal with the overflow at the back of the tank?

Please assist..
