This is my first photo as I'm only start cycling yesterday.

Welcome all the comment and suggestion on what I should do for improvement.

Tank : 3x2x2 (10 mm thickness)

Return Pump : QuietOne 3000

Skimmer : Macro AS-150

Lighting : 2x39W (DE)

still buying your equipment ? Best > try not to rest your LR against the glass..( for your case.. okie.. only few live rock.. ) how many kg of LR .? less than 50kg?

a num of rock holes for your fishes..

actually you can use Biohome in your sump.. k ask Ekia about biohome. < he ..using it now.

I have a biohome in my sump, just a small pack of 300 g, said enough to support my 3 footer.

I have about 40 Kg of LR at the moment.

I will go slow for my equipment, I'm planning to get a Seio 820 first.

Just wanted to ask whether should I put Rowas and active carbon in my sump now? If so which compartment should I put them?

rowa yes to prevent build up of po4 which may lead to algae bloom during cycling

carbon NO....carbon removes DOC if i'm not mistaken but that's exactly wat u wanna haf in yr tank cos DOC is food for bact so don't put yet

Hi Bro Shoelevy,

From my understanding, Biohome is better than Bioball as it can remove nitrate as well and won't become nitrate factory.

For LR, I still have some from my present 2 footer, so I will transfer them when the new tank is ready.

some stuffs that i learned from alanseah.. about using alcohols to achieve low-nutrition level... reduce Nitrate and po4.

for the link.. this low nutrition is good for corals, sps ..taken from Fiji (low-nutrition level). not asking you to use this method.... just want to share this infor with you, bro.

Anyway, forgot to remind you to place the biohome in the last compartment of the sump just before the return pump or the same compartment with the return pump if its insump. The reason is to prevent detritus from blocking/getting into the porous regions of the biohome which is supposed to house anaerobic bacteria for denitrification purposes(nitrate-nitrite).

Biohome performs better in a dark areas, try to avoid having it in the light...

What about the active carbon? Can I put together near with Biohome?

Thinking of getting Rowa too, but how much should I use?

I know angels r not really reef save, but so far all my angels r not nibbing any of my corals yet. Hope they will continue to do so.
