bro, according to the manual the top of the pump must be within 10cm from the water level. hence no need to raise the skimmer itself, only the pump. and because you raised the pump you'll need to shorten the gray hose to make it just nice.

had the same problem when i installed my AS350 this afternoon. So placed the pump in sump eggcrates and viola, bubbles :D

was actually going to buy that AS200 you bought, but you beat me to it so ended up buying the AS350 which was only a few dollars more than what you paid for

1. Via-Aqua MultiSkimmer - $25.00

2. DIY Kalk Reactor - $25.00

3. Atman Protein Skimmer - $25.00

PM Me if interested.

10cm is for 350

as100 is 1-2cm

so for as200 my guess is place yr pump between 3-5

y u wanna put air pump?...waste power and money rite?

coz if i i too my powerhead too high, it will not look nice. coz my tank quite small only 3ft....it will be too visible.

i use the air pump nothing rite ? does it still produce the same function ?

i see, you mean the pump is in the main tank? i think if the water level also not stable tehn you'll have problem maintaining the 3-5 cm clearance. i placed my pump in the middle part of my sump which i think is the most stable section in terms of water level.

but after running it since thursday afternoon, still no foam, :(

hi, i've been using the same unit as yours...... as200p...... i connect it like the way you connect..... mine is doing a great job.... black smelly skimmate.....

did you on/off the pump too frequently before the break in?

at least, u should see lots of fine fine bubbles once you turn on the pump....

one suggestion.... you see the nozzle that connects to the thin rubber tubing to draw air. instead of pointing upwards, you try point to the side. and then off/on the pump....
