A "Not so Nano" Nano reef

Hi Guys,

Here's some infor and pictures of my rather large sized Nano reef.

Size of Reef : 24 square footprint by 18 inch height

Lightings : 8 T5s (7 aquaz bluepro and one aqualight blue bulb) under a customised retrofit by our very own dr evil.

Filtration : 8 by 30 inch tall RM skimmer

20 kg of LRs

Water returns and flow : Resun MD 40 and Maxijets

CA levels : 420 ppm

Alk : 10.4 dkH

Nitrate : undetectable

Phosphate : undetectable

Nice nano tank! care to show your euipments and everything else including the stand?

equipment ..

Skimmer, CR and lights... except each slightly overbuilt for my SPS reef.

wheres the eel???

Thanks jc85, the nudi problem should be solved by now. actually removed every single frag and siphon out those pests with a syringe couple with massive superglue applied onto the egg mass. :evil: but to be on the same side, would be administering some tetra Oodmed a few weeks later jus in case. ;)

So far no sign of them. :lol:

Power equipments .... 

Those solid aquascaping i have seen so far usu comes with valley here and there ....look natural ..... Nice scaping Joe...

yup....when I started sps. I surfed the old SRC forum to learn tips from Joe's threads where he asked a lot of sps qns from the old old gurus.

Its been a while ....

I myself recently restarted my tank, Joe restarted his smaller tank slightly earlier than me...yup...we do have some kind of algae blooms, hey...look at the bright side....sps ###### marine planted tank....cool B)

I was contemplating on a SW planted tank :D

Anyway, most new setups would go through this unwanted algae phase. Just some patience and good husbandry and real soon, you see less greenery.
