profantec fans

Hi guys,

anyone uses 2 profantec fans and can get < 25 for their tank?

I'm using 1 profantec and the lowest I can get to is 25.4... highest around 27..

will adding another fan help in bringing the temp lower?

yes. IMHO, it will help to bring the temp down, as there is an increase in rate of heat transfer. but it oso means a higher rate of evaporation. eventually it will juz get to a saturation point as using fans to cool can only do so much.

u shld be satisfied that u hav a temp of 25.4~27.... adding a fan wont make too much difference as ur temp of water is subjected to ambient temp....

having a higher rate of evaporation is not desirable IMO, as it will result in fluctuations in salinity

i think 2 is more than enough for my 3ft tank..

anything more doesn't really help...and evaporation will be more...

i dunno how big is your tank,but generally, 2 should be ample...

i dunno how u get 25 mine always stays aroun 26.5 to 28..depending on weather...lowest ever was 26.1..
