Melafix / Pimafix

I bought a blueface angel with some lacerations on its body, IFS commented that the lacerations are caused buring catching of the fish.

After 2 days in my tank, I noticed the lacerations progressed to quite large (about 1.5cm), red and ugly. However, the fish is eating quite well.

After waiting for another 2 days, the wounds became worse. I bought Melafix / Pimafix and applied the medication ( < recommended dosage) for 2 days. Interestingly, the wounds immediately reduced and now there are only faint marks left.

Quite good, so I thought I share with you guys!

good stuff when i used it very long time ago for goldfish...restore their fins quite well......recently tried on a marine fish....dunno if it is concident or other things....my SPS started to RTN...

I doubt its the medication. You'll have to aerate your water more vigorously when dosing this as it reduces the amount of dissolved oxygen in the water.
