bubble on LR

Are you referring to Bubble Algae aka Valonia?

If this is the case, by bursting them will only propagate them and believe me, they can really spread to catastrophic proportion.

According to Robert Fenner, Sailfin Tang will readily consume tham and keep them in check. ;)

Good luck. ;)

Besides Sailfin, you can try Purple and Yellow Tang. The cheapest is Yellow Tang (+ - $20).

Most LFS will carry them, they are quite common.

I think he is referring to air bubbles, very common for most tanks, also a sign of high nitrates where algae is building up. Not a serious problem.

Well you have to reduce feeding and improve your water circulation. Have some algae eating fishes like algae blenny and a tang or two.

Then just wait till the cycle complete loh. ;)

Anyway, most algae can be controlled eventually when the herbivores are in - to the extent that your LR will be 'botak' from any algae. :D

You mentioned earlier you switched off the lights, are you leaving the lights on as you cycle? Suggest you turn it off, not necessary to switch the lights on during cycling.

Is it on all your LR?

If not...remove the LR that affected then try to wash the surface with the main tank water

When putting it back you need to turn here and there...up side down the LR in the main tank water to clear some air trapped in the LR.

it's on 3 of the LFS which I transfer from old tank as the current one is a new tank and still cycle. I did took out and scrub away the bubble and put it back, now slowly it come back again.
