Resun MD 55

Hi there,

just brought a resun MD 55 to drive me skimmer...

there is no instruction manual watsoever....so i place it in the toilet and connect the inlet hose into a pail of water....

however, when i turn on the pump...there is no water pumping out from the outlet watsoever.... is there something i need to do to "prime" the pump to get it working??...

i havent connect it to the skimmer yet......

appreciate some help here..

Yup, you'll need to prime the pump first.

Once primed, you'll be all WET! better connect all the inlet/out properly so as not to get the pump wet... it's a ext operating pump

fill the piping with water??

or a search of MD55.... u will be able to find it...

ok, found it.

MD55 = 130W, 60 l/min (Max capacity) aka 3600 l/h

MD40 = 80W, 52 l/min (Max capacity) aka 3120 l/h

er ... I tot it was more .... so RIO still better as a return pump ...

is RIO pressure rated as well?

flowrate is not the all impt thing u shld look into here. there r other points to consider, e.g. integrity of maker, warranty, etc......

RIO 20HF is rated 4876 l/h @ 1 ft & 3780l/h @ 4ft ... for $98

Should be a better pump compare to Resun right !
