This is the 4th time, I've seen my pair of Pistol shrimps release their hatchlings into the water column. It is always at around midnight. The tank has is littered with hundreds of little ones floating aimlessly about. The fishes are not taking them in as the lights are out.

I am wondering if it would be a good idea to leave them as they would probably result in a spike of NO3 OR to try to net as much out as possible. Does anyone here have such experiences before and the proper course of action to take. My gut feels says to just leave 'em. My three other shrimps(a CS, Blood-red, & boxer) are having a great feast, now.

thks.
