iwasaki do produce 6500k bulb but in single ended version!

no i dun think osram has any 10kk bulbs..someone called to sales head office/main distributor to confirm tt..

if you are getting DE bulbs, they come in suitable 10kk and above..anything below tt is good for algae growth!

I would like to disagree with using anything below 10kK will grow algae... Personally I have used it to good effort. No algae growth at all except for the the occasional ones that are gobbled up by my snails. In fact, it has helped to increase growth of my corals.

Bwilly: can you tell us the part/serial num written on the bulb, brand?? i'm quite interested to know which 150w DE is 6700k!! and i dun mean to be rude, i have people from aqu*t*ch*ic trying to shove a 5200k 150w de as a 6500k mh into my throat and claiming tt their tank use it and it is definitely 6500k!!so i'm really keen to know which brand it is!!!

piero: maybe i wasn't making myself clear, i was refering to the bulbs osram produce..as anything below 10kk from osram is 5200k or worse 4500k!! those are really yellow! no qualms about the 6500k bulbs being coral growth catalyst!!

those yellowish bulbs are very good for macro algae growth in refug.!!

those osram bulbs that comes with the weipro are terribly yellow. so much that they cast yellow light on the wall. i switched them out with saki 6500. much better

:off:

Sorry for barging in, Yazid. Just wanna clarify some matters regarding the bulbs.

Attn: ALVY

Iwasaki produces 150watts 6500K DE and SE, and has been doing that for years. Latest addition to their product lines are the AQUA series - DE & SE, 150watts, 6500K & 20000K & 50000K, c/w UV-Cut Coating, RA96 rating or est 96% equivalent to sunlight.

250watts 6500K & 400watts 6500k comes in only SE.

For those who needs more info, pls pm me. Lets not hijack this thread any more.

:thanks:

anyway I am not in need of money.

as a goodwill, I will refer the link from Edmund webby

which I bought from him.

http://www.eaquanature.com/store/product_i...products_id=231

anyway for those who want to satisfy their curiousity got to wait.

haha..

I just physically read the bulb imprint.

Made in Germany Osram. As for DE or not,

definitely it is, cause I took it out from the Set

LF110 myself. As for the Kelvin, you may like

to tell that to Edmund himself a liar. haha..

(cause I got the 6700K set from him loh)

In actual fact, when I bought it the box says that it is 10K bulb. I don't believe it as it looks like Saki.

Anyway Venture 10K 150W DE look sweet, white with a tinge of blue from S** L***.

The 14K ones from Ma**** L**** looks nicer too.
