Rio 26 resun md55 eheim 1262 Aquabee 3000. i cannot decide to get which one, pls help me thanks See whether you want to plumb it ext or not. My views: If ext: In order of preference MD55 ** very powerful Ehiem 1262 if internal: Ehiem 1262 Rio HF32 ** very hot I will not recommend Aquabee3000 as i used it and it is very.. For the price, i rather get a Ehiem 1262
SRC Member Ancelot Posted November 16, 2004 SRC Member Share Posted November 16, 2004 Eheim is a very good choice.. Very reliable and very safe to put it outside unlike those china brands... HAIZ.. only wish that my favourite pump is available in Singapore then all these wont be an issue le.. and i can promise tat eheim can be the 2nd to this brand.. If you all are scrubbing your heads, I am talking about SELTZ from Hydor.. 10watts can power 1000l/h better than eheim! and 23watts can power 1700l/h! it is really tat brillant! but sadly dont have this pump around cause the sole distributor in singapore doesnt want to bring them in... HAIZ... if anyone knows that guy, please please please tell him to do so.. i need those pumps! otherwise i gotta settle for Rena which is in my opinion not bad.. ranked 3rd in my standards... SRC Member Blenny Posted November 16, 2004 SRC Member Share Posted November 16, 2004 Aquabee 3000 or OR 3500. Would like to recommend OR range of pumps. They are power efficient and good quality. Currently using OR6500 for return, OR3500 w/needlewheel for skimmer and another OR3500 for feeding water into skimmer. They are quiet and not hot when in operation unlike ehiems. jsut 2 cents worth

firestream
not true. Rio 17HF 55 watts 1090 840 660 10 13/16" Rio 20HF 60 watts 1290 990 870 10.8 13/16" Rio 26HF 100 watts 1590 1350 1140 13 1" how can a pump that only consume 60 watts (RIO 20HF) be hotter than Ehiem 1262 that consume 80 watts ? Beside, the RIO generate more flow, 1290 gph vs 900 gph @ zero head lost ... Not to mention that it is cheaper as well ..

Perhaps someone who has both can do a simple test. run both pump in 2 seperate similar tub/pail of water for the same duration. Measure the water temp

Achilles Tang
The two OR6500 pumps I got before all died within days or weeks of operations. I had a very bad experience before, during and long after I bought these accursed pumps. They were also extremely noisy then. Then again, it must be my personal very very bad luck as I still have not gotten my replacement yet. Sigh.
