Hi I am using 150W MH with 36W actinic in my 2 feet too. I placed the light ~ 8 " from water surface. With 2x6" fan blowing the water in the display tank and sump, I managed to maintain the water temp. approximately 2C lower than ambient temp (last night it was 26C onli). In addition, I also added a 4" PC fan to blow across the MH casing, thus loweing its temp. further. Ballast (major heat source) is also removed and used remotely.

If you do not intend to get a chiller then you will need to use fans... 6" or larger is the better size to consider. Try reduce the number of power heads you used in your tank for this is one of the major source of heat gain of your tank water. I used only 1x50W (4500 l/h though) return pump and 1x38W (3000 l/h) Skimmer pump. Am thinking of getting a lower wattage skimmer pump to reduce the temp. further. ;)

i got not enough space i got those clip on fan.. those fan is quite strong.. can show pic?? of ur DIy

What is your tank temperature with the MH? Maybe you can try to raise the MH height to reduce the amount of heat transfer to the tank. Coral deplete can also due to water condition. I do a 10 to 20% water change to my 2ft tank monthly.
