SRC Member JustinK Posted November 1, 2004 SRC Member Share Posted November 1, 2004 Cheap and reliable, try to leave it overnight if you dun want it to be cloudy. Its not like Tropic Marin where the cloudiness settles much faster, but TM price is abit too ex for me.

AhLoon
A bit here Any comment on Oceanic Natural sea salt mix??? Yup. Not bad... Did some measurements on freshly mixed Oceanic saltwater. KH 8, PH 8.2, Ca 150-250 (ambiguous, i'm bad at interpreting color changes)... Cloudiness? Yes. But you gotta let it stir for a couple of minutes before adding it into your tank. I place a mini powerhead in the fresh mix for half an hour or so (minimum) before pouring in my tank. cos now my tank still seem cloudy. (after 3hrs of mixing). cant be the sand, cos i slowly added the sand in to prevent my water to be cloudy. Let it run... I believe it'll clear. My friend's using Coralife salt. No complaints from him.
liziqi
hi there, i haven't tried coralife salt before, but i'm using marine environment salt which in my opinion is quite good. though my tank is only about 3-4 months old, so far there are no problems and i attribute part of it to the salt. it's quite good even though it's abit pricier.
