What Makes a Person Rich?

One day a father of a very wealthy family took his son on a trip to the country with the firm purpose of showing his son how poor people live. They spent a couple of days and nights on the farm of what would be considered a very poor family.

On their return from their trip, the father asked his son, "How was the trip?" " It was great, Dad." "Did you see how poor people live?" the father asked. "Oh yeah," said the son. "So, tell me, what did you learn from the trip?" asked the father. The son answered:"I saw that we have one dog and they had four. We have a pool that reaches to the middle of our garden and they have a creek that h as no end. We have imported lanterns in our garden and they have the stars at night. Our patio reaches to the front yard and they have the whole horizon. We have a small piece of land to l ive on and they have fields that go beyond our sight. We have servants who serve us, but they serve others. We buy our food, but they grow theirs. We have walls around our property to protect us, they have friends to protect them."

The boy's father was speechless. Then his son added, "Thanks, Dad, for showing me how poor we are."

Isn't perspective a wonderful thing? Makes you wonder what would happen if we all gave thanks for everything we have, instead of worrying about what we don't have. Appreciate every single thing you have, especially your family, friends, and ofcourse CORALS

That story is so flawed . You are not comparing a rich person and poor person . you are comparing a farm and a house . The Rich person will just go out and buy a farm . Then he can have Both .

Anyone else find the Saying Money cant buy happiness to be pure Rubbish. With a proper strategy and some intelligent planning . You can make money do everything .

Contentment leads to a loss in ambition . If you are happy with everything you have . You Will probably not get very much more in life . And will forever be stuck on your spot on the ladder .

but money sure as hell can't buy you immortality. or a new life. or REAL popularity, not those money ###### friends.

I believe the story carrys the message of

To appreciate what you have and not to worry what you haven't get. In that case, you are RICH in term of mental.

There are so many definations of RICH.

If you have money can consider RICH in MONEY not, RICH.

If someone have millions of dollars, but he doesn't have any his own kid in his life yet ( and no way he can get ), while he is longing to have one. And he think without his own son to carry out his surname, business so on, he has not accomplished as a human. Tied so many ways to get baby, including tube method and burned tons of money. Than do you think he is rich ? In term of money yes, they are but no their mind.

Another couple has only one child, they raised up her up everything she need, this couple can make 6digits a year, almost to 7 digits. Their daughter is a beautiful, smart , intelligence. According to doctor, her mother has complicated delivery so can't have any more baby. The girl was grow up in very caring partent who devoted to give her all the best they could ( love, time ). She is a nicest girl I could find about. No pubing, no bf ( at age of 17 ), can cook, top in the school. Managed to get schoolership to one of the top university in UK.

So what is the big deal, they are having the best and best. Her life is stable, everything planed for and parents are watching their only daughter getting higher and higher.

But out of sudden, she left them with very very short notice early this year. So are they RICH ?

Both stories are true story. So do you think they are RICH ?

at the end of the day it boils down to perception and how you perceive rich as.

a group of people may perceive rich as having as many greenbacks in the bank as possible.

the other group of people may perceive it as having a fufilling life.

another group views it as a combination of the two.

so you see. it's all a matter of perception.

well we can always buy the nice 1:16 model of the Ferrari. I want to get one of these models of a F1 car (not Ferrari for me by the way. I'm a West McLaren supporter) but for now...am contended with just looking at the photos I took at Sepang. hehz.
