My first marine fish was actually a baby scat I caught at the beach. Brought it home and kept it in a glass horlicks bottle without a filter...just like a goldfish bowl... Everytime I need to change water I pour out the dirty seawater...fill up the rest with tap water...and added some table salt...

Amazing it did'nt die...lived for many months. ..kept it till it got some red colouration on its fins..Can't remember what happened to it..
