All shrimps died suddenly!

My shrimps (2x cleaner 1 blood shrimp 1 reef lobster) suddenly died overnight!

They were fidgeting furiously before they died. All were in the pink of health cleaner shrimp was all carrying eggs. They ve been with me for a yr already!

Anyone know the reason? Recently nitrate levels have been rising to 100ppm

cause i increase ls level.

For a 3 feet I have a large Blue tang, brazillian gramma, lyretail anthia, skunk clown, fireclown, true perc and 4 anthias..

Anyone know what might have caused this? And no.. I didnt dose any copper in my tank

it might well be ur NO3 levels. ur tank is pretty much overstocked esp wif 4 anthias which require frequent feeding. how many LS did u increase overnight? check ur iodine levels 2, might be due to molting difficulties 2.

how to maintain? dose iodine additives with caution.

ideal level for reef tank: shld be ard 0.06ppm.

buy a bottle of lugol's solution (WMR or KM), dose according to instructions given.

that means high nitrates will kill of shrimps, snails and tubeworms corals and maybe worms too
